Namba · Osaka
Three counters.
One neighbourhood.
Each experience is built around a different way of knowing food. Pick the one that sounds most like the kind of evening you are after.
Back to homeHow to choose
All three experiences take place in or near Namba. All three are kept to small groups. The difference is in what kind of engagement suits you — moving through the alley, sitting with a bowl, or standing at a counter with your hands in the dough.
If you're not sure which fits, the evening tasting is where most people start. The others tend to follow naturally once you've had a first look at how the food culture here is put together.
Experience 01
Evening Street Food Tasting
A guided walk through a lively food alley, pausing at several counters for small plates — grilled skewers, savoury pancakes, and a warm bowl to close. Your guide explains each dish as it arrives and handles the ordering throughout.
Paced gently so there is time to savour each stop. Suited to anyone who would like a friendly introduction to local flavours without having to navigate alone.
¥6,200 per person
Experience 02
Ramen and Broth Sitting
A relaxed seated tasting focused on the craft of broth — comparing a few regional styles side by side while a host explains how each is built over hours of careful simmering. Includes a full bowl and small tasting cups.
Suited to those who would like to understand the dish beyond a quick meal. Held over about ninety minutes at a comfortable pace. No prior knowledge of ramen required or assumed.
¥4,400 per person
Experience 03
Local Kitchen Half-Day
An unhurried half-day in a small kitchen learning to prepare a handful of beloved street snacks by hand, with a cook guiding each step from prep to plating. Includes ingredients, an apron to borrow, and the dishes you make to enjoy at the end.
Limited to small groups so everyone has room at the counter. Suited to curious home cooks and food-minded travellers who want to leave Osaka with something they can actually recreate.
¥14,800 per person

A few things that apply to all sessions
All food is included
The session price covers everything you eat and taste during the experience. There is nothing to pay at the stalls.
No Japanese required
Everything is guided in English. The language barrier is one of the things we handle so you don't have to.
Dietary needs accommodated where possible
Let us know in advance and we'll do our best to adjust. Some restrictions are easier to work with than others — we'll be honest about what's feasible.
Timing is flexible
Most sessions run in the evening, but morning and afternoon slots are available for the kitchen half-day. Tell us what works and we'll match it if we can.
Questions are genuinely welcome
There are no foolish questions in this context. The whole session is built around explaining things — asking more just means the evening goes deeper.
Meeting point confirmed on booking
We'll share a specific meeting point in Namba when your session is confirmed. It will be easy to find and easy to reach from most accommodation in central Osaka.
Not sure which one is right?
Drop us a note describing who's coming, roughly how much time you have, and what kind of experience you're drawn to. We'll suggest the one that seems like the best fit — or point out if two of them would work well together.
